I have always been passionate about helping people in many different contexts. However, during a particularly challenging time in my life, I discovered hypnotherapy. The therapy had such an impact on my wellbeing that I decided to change career and embark on rigorous study, training at the UK’s leading training centre, Clifton Practice in Bristol. I belong to the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.
I am also registered with the National Counselling Society.
Being able to use physical therapy to support clients is extremely rewarding. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage, Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology from the renowned Bristol College of Massage and Body Work. I have built on my knowledge and undertaken advanced courses in deep tissue massage and remedial massage.
A fully registered member of the MTI and CNHC, I practice a range of holistic massage techniques and therapies and acupuncture.
I have a background in mental health and have worked for charities such as Frontiers and Julian House, a children’s support unit in Devon and a homeless charity in Bath and Bristol respectively. I currently work part time at Bath Spa University as Senior Student Wellbeing Advisor. I also have experience working within domestic abuse.
I regularly attend on-going courses to discover, expand and improve techniques and knowledge, alongside additional supervision classes. This forms part of my Continual Professional Development (CPD). I hold a Level 3 First Aid certificate, Mental Health First Aid and a certificate in Counselling and Solution Focussed Therapy
