I am very excited to welcome you to my new website. I have broadened my support to include Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. I am fascinated with how physical therapy can have a positive impact on our mental wellbeing and how talking therapy can positively impact on our physical wellbeing. By offering both types of therapy, I am now able to support my clients with a wider range of needs.
So what is Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy and how can I help you?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is first, and foremost, evidence-based. It uses the most up-to-date neuroscientific research in every area of its application.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of talking therapy, which combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis or ‘trance’ is a very natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and then focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. As a modern psychotherapeutic approach, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, structured, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Crucially, in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem).
Hypnotherapy can help clients overcome many debilitating disorders such as anxiety and depression, both acute and chronic. As well as fears and phobias, for example fear of public speaking or flying. It can help with overcoming addictions such as alcohol, drugs, sugar or sex. Hypnotherapy is also widely used to help stop smoking, which is achieved in just a one off 2hr session.
Sessions will enable clients to take control, in a positive and rational way, of how they think about and respond to situations in daily life. Together, we will break unwanted habits of negative thought patterns and behaviours that affect ability to be happy, cope well and fully enjoy life.
